The Law Offices of Jill McDonald was established in 2008. Jill has a passion for helping people which led to her decision to practice Consumer Bankruptcy. She has since expanded her practice to include Student Loan Debt Assistance. With the surge in student loan debt and very little information about how to manage it, she saw this as a natural fit for her practice. Jill is a graduate of Stetson College of Law in Gulfport, Florida where along with her Juris Doctorate degree, she earned both the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award and the Stetson Leadership Development Certificate. She attended law school later in life, making a second career out of assisting people with their debt problems. She helps her clients file for protection under chapter 7 and chapter 13 of the federal bankruptcy laws. She is also an advocate for people dealing with student loan debt and has spent time in Washington, DC speaking as an advocate for fair treatment of student loans in bankruptcy. She has a private practice with three offices: Clearwater, Tampa, and Pinellas Park.

Jill is licensed to practice law in Florida and in the Federal Court for the Middle District of Florida, and is a member of the Florida Bar, American Bar Association, Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association, National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, and the American Bankruptcy Institute.

Jill also stays active in her community by serving on the board of directors for the low cost spay / neuter clinic “SPOT” in Pinellas Park.
