Marvin Hammerman is an experienced civil litigation trial attorney and founding partner of Hammerman Rosen LLP who has been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star every year since 2018 through 2021 in the area of civil litigation. Mr. Hammerman regularly handles complex civil litigation matters, including personal injury and accident cases, consumer fraud litigation, contract disputes, and construction litigation, in addition to criminal and DUI/DWI defense in superior and municipal courts across northern New Jersey, and in the Federal District Court for the District of New Jersey.

As a former Associate at a prominent New Jersey insurance defense law firm, Mr. Hammerman was mentored by highly-regarded trial attorneys and gained valuable experience in all aspects of civil litigation, from pre-litigation fact investigation through discovery preparation, settlement negotiation, and trial presentation. He gained valuable experience handling insurance coverage disputes, consumer fraud litigation, automobile accident, and personal injury law, municipality defense, premises liability, and police liability cases. Mr. Hammerman’s experience as an insurance defense attorney gives him a strong inside understanding of insurance company defense strategy which he brings to the representation of his clients. His additional legal experience includes medical malpractice cases, corporate formation, and business law, landlord-tenant and real estate transactions, shareholder disputes, estate litigation, and appellate advocacy.
