Melissa G. Nolan, Attorney

Ms. Melissa Nolan's practice consists of immigration and estate and tax planning. Her immigration practice focuses primarily on employment based cases, including the representation both of individual employees and of employers of all sizes, from companies with just one employee to large, multinational companies. In addition to the preparation of petitions to allow U.S. corporations to hire foreign workers, she also works with employers to ensure they are in compliance with federal laws regulating the employment of non-citizens. Ms. Nolan conducts audits of companies' I-9 forms, as well as advises clients on their I-9 obligations and workforce enforcement. She published an article titled “Making Sure you are in Compliance: Conducting an I-9 Self-Audit." Ms. Nolan also assists clients with asylum and naturalization cases and has experience addressing issues that are important to international students. She has presented a nationwide seminar entitled "Essential Immigration Issues for Non-immigration Attorneys."
