A gentleman consulted me regarding his imminent deportation out of the country. Happily, my Immigration Court motion to exempt him from deportation, based on hardship to his citizen spouse was successful in preserving his lawful permanent resident status.
How did you build a successful practice?Taking one client at a time and giving her/him the sensitivity, competence and attention I would want for myself.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?An individual who has an admirable reputation for ability and integrity.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?Knowing and being known by local judges, court staff and colleagues is indispensable to the practitioner's credibility and respect. However, one should not expect to receive unauthorized, treatment nor special treatment for himself nor his client because of simply being well-liked.
