QUESTIONNAIRE
In the last year I was retained to represent two clients who were charged with 2nd degree murder. These were two separate incidents and in both cases after filing motions and gathering evidence both clients' charges were dismissed.
How did you build a successful practice?Name recognition and reputation built on experience as former elected District Attorney of 30 years, former chief counsel of the Public Defender's office and hard work.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?A lawyer that is concerned with their case and not just the fee. A lawyer with trial experience and a winning record.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?Local knowledge is very important and I have spent more than 40 years in the local courtrooms. Many of the Judges worked for me as assistant district attorneys and many of the DA's in this area are friends from the time that I was DA. Do not miss understand, the local Judges and DA's will not do anything for me that they would not do for other attorneys, but they know they can trust me.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?I can give general info in a free phone consultation. Without the police reports it is difficult to give much info. However, if a potential client is under investigation and not yet charged it is important to talk to a lawyer before agreeing to meet with the police.
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?The charge, the jurisdiction, date of court appearance, any prior record of the client.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?Experience and reputation and as a good trial lawyer.
