About Daiga

In her twenty-seven year career, Ms. Osis has developed extensive experience in all facets of family law, such as divorce, custody disputes, child support issues and post judgment matters.      She has handled a wide variety of cases, from the non-contentious to highly complex financial and custody cases.    She has developed a solid reputation as a formidable litigator.  Aggressive, but fair, Ms. Osis is known as a no-nonsense fighter for her client’s rights and best interests – whether she represents the mother, the father or the children.  

Attorney Osis served on the Statewide Grievance Committee from 1990-1995; Served as Vice-Chair during 1994-1995.  She further served as an Attorney Trial Referee from 1990-1995 for the Judicial District of Fairfield, at Bridgeport.  She has served as a Special Master for the Regional Family Trial Docket in Middletown; the Judicial District of Fairfield at Bridgeport, the Judicial District of Stamford/Norwalk at Stamford and the Judicial District of Ansonia/Milford at Milford on a yearly basis since 1987.  She is a standing member of the Connecticut Bar Association, serving on the Executive Committee of the Family Law Section, as well as member in good standing with the Bridgeport Bar Association. 

In addition to being a member of the Connecticut Bar [1980], Attorney Osis is also admitted to the United States District Court, District of Connecticut [1981]; the United States Court of Appeals, 2nd Circuit [1982] and the United States Supreme Court [1984].

Attorney Daiga G. Osis received her undergraduate degree from Brooklyn College (Cum Laude) in 1971 and attained her Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac University [f/k/a University of Bridgeport] in 1980, graduating 2nd in her class.   She was Research Editor of the Law Review.  Her article “Heads We Win, Tails You Lose”: Connecticut Adopts the Dual Sovereignty Doctrine in Order to Circumvent the Fifth Amendment’s Protection Against Double Jeopardy: State v. Moeller” was published in 1980 [1 U.B.L.Rev.75].
