Law Ofc. of Craig S. Johannesmeyer

I used this firm for a home closing as they were the preferred firm by my realtor. They were unorganized, unwilling to let me speak to an actual lawyer about items that came up during the buying process on a home, and the closing was a complete disaster. They hired a notary to do the closing who clearly had never done a closing before. She was one of the most unorganized people I’ve ever worked with in any professional way. They provided different times to the notary, sellers, and buyers on when to arrive, so everyone showed up confused. The notary tried to get me to fill out different pages on my loan documents because they were blank and ‘should probably be filled out’. I ended up calling my mortgage broker (who was going to be at closing but they gave him the wrong address) during the closing and he said to not fill out any forms, they were all filled out correctly by the lender and we just needed to sign. The notary continued to make us think that certain pages needed to be filled out but eventually let it go when I told her we would just be signing items, not filling anything out. The notary had to call the attorneys office multiple times because she didn’t know if she was supposed to sign different items or do certain things with us. She was uploading each doc in real time to the attorneys office who I guess was signing documents because they weren’t willing to drive to a location that they chose for the closing like 30 minutes away. If I didn’t work in finance, and knew what I was looking at with all of the documents we were signing there is NO WAY this would have closed. I should have walked out. I received 0 legal benefits for the fees I paid to this firm. Shame on this firm for not sending their own representation to closing and shame on the lawyers here for taking money to close a real estate transaction and not being available to speak to their client or even show up at closing. Do not work with this firm or any real estate agent who recommends them. Note to future readers: in their response they did not provide any details as to why this person was hired in the first place- clearly they are not vetting their contracted notaries so whether or not this person is employed still does not matter- there is a management issue here. There is no response as to why they had no representation at the closing. I have relayed all of this to them over the phone soon after the closing and was not given anyone supervisors information let alone a call back. I assume you have a CRM system with your clients phone numbers. You are welcome to take a couple minutes out of your day, find my number, and call me if you would like to speak. Otherwise, make changes to your processes and do better.
The seminar we attended by Johannesmeyer and Sawyer on estate planning was very informative and professional. Once we hired Bobby Sawyer for our trust and will, he was very knowledgeable and helpful in assisting us. He made the overwhelming process of estate planning very easy to understand. He has kept in touch with e-mails and always prompt in answering any questions we have. We always recommend him to our friends.
Bobby Sawyer was prompt, courteous, and very knowledgeable about estate planning. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is thinking about updating their documents.
Responsive, professional and such a smooth process in Estate Planning and Business formations. Bobby Sawyer was fantastic from start to finish. Always prepared and respectful of our schedules. The firm also was so proactive it made the process so easy. So happy to recommend Bobby and his team.
I've had nothing but excellent experiences with Bobby Sawyer!! He assisted me with my will and powers of attorney. I referred several relatives and friends to him and they have had similar experiences. There was nothing about my experience that wasn't excellent. Very personal, efficient, no time wasted. My wishes for small changes were complied with easily. His friendliness and genuine interest in what I wanted was something I had not experienced in previous attorneys.
