Rachel Moore is an Associate at Emery Reddy. Her practice focuses on employment law and involves class action and appellate litigation. Rachel’s decision to become an attorney was born out of a desire to use the law as a tool in the fight against social injustice, systemic inequality, and institutionalized discrimination. She is passionate about bringing power to the people and holding corporations accountable. Prior to joining the firm, Rachel practiced at a local plaintiffs’ firm and clerked for the Honorable Anne M. Cruser in the Washington State Court of Appeals. Outside of work, Rachel enjoys skiing, trail running, cycling, throwing pottery, and swimming in Lake Washington with her dog.

Awad M. Zitawi-Vázquez is a personal injury attorney with extensive experience in both pre-suit and litigation, representing clients in Florida and Puerto Rico. Over his career, he has successfully managed hundreds of cases from beginning to end, including negotiations, mediations, depositions, and hearings. Prior to his joining Emery Reddy, PC, James served as counsel to a marketing firm in the financial space and as ethics counsel to a law firm. Earlier, he held a post within the Utah Attorney General’s Office, where he practiced in the Criminal and Civil Appeals divisions and regularly presented oral argument before the Utah Court of Appeals and the Utah Supreme Court. In addition, he argued routinely before the Federal District Court of Utah and argued before the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. His responsibilities also included representing the State of Utah in habeas corpus and post-conviction litigation in both state and federal courts. In his capacity as legislative counsel, James drafted the state’s original open records statute and contributed to the development of court rules and statutory frameworks governing post-conviction remedies.
