David Hagan is an associate at Wade, Grimes, Friedman, Meinken & Leischner, PLLC, practicing both family law and criminal defense. As a family law attorney, Mr. Hagan handles all aspects of domestic relations cases, such as divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, equitable distribution, settlement agreements, property rights, post-divorce disputes, and close relative and step-parent adoptions. Damien Smith has been working in personal injury law in Virginia since 2018. Damien is motivated by his clients’ personal stories and works hard to fight for the justice and fairness they deserve. Damien started at a small firm, where he learned to always put client service first. He has handled hundreds of settlement and litigation cases from car accident and premises liability claims to dog bite lawsuits and other personal injury cases. Damien also has robust experience in handling criminal, traffic, and bankruptcy matters. Prior to his time in personal injury law, he worked in corporate compliance relating to consumer financial regulation. Damien is a member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and is pending admission to the D.C. bar. Originally from Fauquier County, Virginia, Damien earned his undergraduate degrees in philosophy and political science from James Madison University. Damien lives in the Woodley Park neighborhood of Washington, D.C., with his wife. They enjoy walking through the Zoo, exploring the city, rooting for all of the local sports teams, and caring for their community garden plot and abundance of house plants. Steve Halfhill concentrates in business, security, commodity and regulatory law, as well as domestic relations, traffic/criminal matters and general litigation. After receiving his J.D. Degree from West Virginia University in 1974, Mr. Halfhill entered the United States Army where he served as a Captain in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps. Upon completion of his military service, Mr. Halfhill became an Assistant Director in the Commodity Future Trading Commission’s Division of Enforcement and later was Special Counsel to the Director of the Commodity Future Trading Commission’s Division of Trading & Markets. He has been in private practice since 1981, and is a member of the Bars of the District of Columbia, Virginia, and West Virginia. In addition, he is experienced in major federal litigation nationally, and is an experienced appellate practice as well as domestic relations, criminal, traffic, business and homeowners’/condominium association law.
