Prior to becoming a family law attorney, Attorney James H. Woodall earned a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering and worked for several years in the offshore oil industry. Looking for a more competitive work environment, Mr. Woodall attended law school at the University of Utah. He graduated second in his class. Mr. Woodall was Managing Editor of the Utah Law Review. He was admitted to the Utah State Bar in 1988 and clerked on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has practiced law in Utah, Nevada, Colorado, and Wyoming. Mr. Woodall limits his practice to family law, from uncontested divorces to highly complicated matters involving issues such as child custody, alimony, and child support. Mr. Woodall’s over 30 years of experience make him a formidable attorney in the courtroom and a knowledgeable advocate. He has substantial experience in complex divorce matters including high-asset and high-income cases. His attention to detail is paralleled by few. Mr. Woodall enjoys working – he works holidays and weekends. On Fridays, he is known to quip, “just two more workdays until Monday.” Mr. Woodall retired from the Utah National Guard at the rank of Colonel after 22 years of service. Attorney Brad Carr graduated from Baylor Law School on a full-tuition academic scholarship. Baylor is consistently ranked by US News as one of the top three schools in the nation for trial advocacy. Prior to joining Hepworth & Murray in 2016, Tyler worked in the Office of General Counsel – International for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he worked on a variety of legal matters ranging from income tax issues, immigration, real estate transactions, and employment matters. Although he enjoyed the comforts of corporate life, Tyler’s real passion is advocacy, whether in the courtroom or the across the negotiation table. Tyler earned his law degree from the University of Oregon School of Law, where he received high marks in trial advocacy and was known around school for being a bit of trial junky. While in law school he worked in the public defender’s office as a court-certified law student where he represented three criminal defendants in jury trials before he even graduated. Also during law school, he received expert training in Alternative Dispute Resolution through the nationally ranked Oregon ADR Center. Born and raised in Davis County, Tyler takes advantage of all that Utah has to offer from the great culture and entertainment found in our cities to the amazing outdoor recreation that is only an hour or so away. In his free time, Tyler enjoys being active in his community and spending time with family.

I attended college at the University of Utah, graduating Phi Beta Kappa with a bachelor's degree in English and French. I then attended law school at the University of Utah's S.J. Quinney College of Law, graduating in the top third of class with my juris doctorate in 2014. I took and passed the Utah State Bar Exam later that summer, and shortly thereafter I went into private practice, working primarily as family/domestic law litigator and criminal defense attorney. After nearly nine years in family law and criminal defense, I decided to move into practice areas other than family/domestic law. As a result, in November 2023, I was fortunate enough to join the highly esteemed and successful law firm of Goebel Anderson PC, where I am practicing general commercial litigation.

Run-Zhi was born in a small town in southern China, and left home at 17 to attend college hundreds of miles away in Wuhan. Following college, Run-Zhi came to Texas to pursue a Ph.D. in life sciences at Texas A&M University. In pursuing the American dream, RunZhi always gives one-hundred percent no matter how difficult the task. It was in Texas that Run-Zhi experienced first-hand how complex and impactful the law can be in one’s life and was inspired to pursue a legal career. After completing his Ph.D., Run-Zhi attended The University of Michigan Law School where he received the Clyde A. Dewitt Law Scholarship. After obtaining his law degree, RunZhi worked in the biotechnology industry for almost a decade and authored numerous research articles and book chapters. Run-Zhi is an attorney admitted to practice in New York, Utah, and the USPTO, with a focus on intellectual property. Run-Zhi previously worked at an IP boutique law firm helping his clients secure, transfer, and protect their intangible assets, and vigorously defending their rights against infringement. His experience includes patent prosecution, complex litigation of patent, trademark, and copyright matters, as well as personal injury civil litigation. He has represented individual and corporation clients in various IP and civil matters.
