Daniel “Danny” Dastrup is a Las Vegas native, having moved here at the age of five. He has seen the city grow and change through the years and loves to call Las Vegas home. Danny received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University, and later his Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. While in law school Danny received several accolades including “highest honors” recognizing his skill in legal writing. Since becoming an attorney, Danny has assisted his clients in a variety of cases involving car accidents, trucking accidents, premises liability, product liability, wrongful death and insurance bad faith. Danny has recovered millions of dollars through settlements, awards, and verdicts on behalf of his clients. Danny has successfully tried several cases in the Eighth Judicial District Court in Las Vegas and has successfully litigated cases against major multinational companies and the Federal Government. Kym has been a trial lawyer for over 30 years. He has tried over 110 civil jury trials in both state and federal court in Southern Nevada and enjoys an impressive record of only two losses. He has successfully defended Fortune 500 companies at trial including PepsiCo, Costco, Target, Wynn Resorts, MGM, 7-Eleven, Inc., Xerox, Siemens AG, Sysco, Lufthansa, McDonald’s Corp., NCR Corp., Forest City Enterprises, Best Buy and ConAm Management. He has defended national trucking companies at trial for Sysco, U.S. Foods, Inc., U.S. Foodservice, Inc., New Bern Transportation, Knight Transportation, Mattheson Trucking, and Interstate Plumbing Co. He has also represented national insurance carriers and their insureds in both third-party and first-party actions, including AIG, AON, State Farm, Chubb, GEICO, Sentry Ins., and California Casualty. Kym’s trials have dealt with claims for wrongful death, personal injury, premises liability, products liability, insurance bad faith, and claims for punitive damages. He has handled numerous complex litigation cases and difficult catastrophic injury cases with high sympathy factors. Kym has been asked by clients and carriers to take over the defense of an existing case and try the case at the last minute – all with successful results. Kym’s approach to a trial, once the decision has been made to try the case, is simply to aggressively try the case before the jury – no further negotiations, and no settling on the courthouse steps. He’s willing to “parachute in” a case at a moment’s notice or monitor a case at the request of a client or insurance carrier. Kym began his legal career in Southern California working for a large litigation firm whose clients included major Hollywood studios, movie, and television production companies. Two years later, Kym moved to Las Vegas, joined a local insurance defense firm and soon was trying personal injury cases for State Farm and premises liability cases for Kemper Ins. Co. It was during these early trials that Kym honed his trial skills. In 2005, Kym’s Las Vegas firm merged with a large multinational law firm. Kym was instrumental in opening the firm’s new Las Vegas office. Three years later, Kym became an equity partner. Kym developed and successfully managed a multimillion-dollar book of business, the largest in the office and employed one-third of its attorneys and staff. After leaving the national firm Kym decided to join Dobberstein Law Group to provide more personal service from a small boutique law firm, while also providing more time to spend with his family. Kym has argued cases before the Nevada Supreme Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

I am a first generation American. My parents were born and raised in Argentina so I have spoken Spanish since I first learned to speak. I graduated from Clark High School and received my bachelor’s degree from the University of Las Vegas, Nevada. After graduating from UNLV, I received my law degree from California Western School of Law in San Diego, California. During law school I was a member of the Law Review and elected as the Executive Editor of the International Law Journal. I graduated law school magna cum laude and in the top 4% of my class. I received the Am Jur Award for receiving the highest grade in my class for Criminal Procedure, Civil Procedure II, and Comparative Law. After graduating law school I took and passed the Nevada and California Bar examinations. Upon receiving my law license, I began working at Alverson, Taylor, Mortensen & Sanders, a civil litigation law firm in Las Vegas. As an associate attorney I defended medical doctors and dentists in medical malpractice cases, manufacturers in products liability cases, and numerous diverse companies in personal injury cases. After a year and a half at Alverson & Taylor, I joined the Clark County Public Defender’s Office and spent twelve years representing thousands of indigent defendants in diverse criminal matters. My first two years at the Public Defender’s Office were spent working in the Juvenile Division. I handled thousands of juvenile delinquency cases, including contested hearings and adult certifications. I argued a juvenile appeal before the Nevada Supreme Court, which resulted in a published opinion and victory for my client: In re T.R., 119 Nev. 646 (2003). After two years in the Juvenile Division, I transferred to the adult office of the Public Defender’s Office and spent the next year two years handling felony, gross misdemeanor, and misdemeanor cases. Thereafter, I was assigned to the sexual assault team where I spent five years handling life sentence cases of sexual assault and lewdness with a child. My last three years at the Public Defender’s Office I worked exclusively handling murder and death penalty cases. Although my time at the Public Defender’s Office was very rewarding, my desire to create and build a top notch private law firm that could provide clients with unique and exceptional legal representation led me to establish the Nobles & Yanez Law Firm. Based on my diverse and extensive criminal and civil litigation experience, there are almost no type of cases that I have not personally handled.

Danielle is an associate attorney at Sgro & Roger, representing clients in a range of personal injury, criminal, and family law matters. She is devoted to helping her clients obtain the most favorable outcome in the resolution of their cases. Danielle joins the firm after completing a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Eric Johnson in Department XX of the Eighth Judicial District Court. During her term, she assisted the Court render decisions in various civil and criminal matters. She also gained invaluable trial experience working on medical malpractice, wrongful death, catastrophic injury, and felony cases.

Nikol Walters is a practicing lawyer in the state of Nevada and received their J.D. from the University of Puget Sound in 1975.

Mike prides himself in providing unparalleled customer service. In his youth, Mike was involved in a serious car accident. Mike hired a lawyer to sue the negligent driver that caused his injuries. Unfortunately, Mike experienced what most people experience when hiring a lawyer: poor customer service and ineffective representation. Specifically, Mike met with the lawyer for the initial consultation, only to never hear or speak from the lawyer again. In the end, the attorney settled Mike’s case for pennies on the dollar. Prior to attending law school, Mike was one of Las Vegas’ top real estate professionals. In the ten years before law school, Mike helped hundreds of clients with the acquisition and disposition of residential real estate and raw land. Mike graduated at the top of his class from UNLV with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Thereafter, Mike also graduated top of his class from the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV. While attending Boyd, Mike received the CALI award five times for his legal writing, as well as his work in Evidence, Civil Procedure, and Contracts. Mike was also a member of Boyd’s National Moot Court team and won Best Brief at the Sutherland Cup Moot Court Competition. He was also honored as the sole recipient of his graduating class with the prestigious James E. Rogers Scholastic Achievement Award. He was further honored, along with only three of his peers, with the Scribes, The American Society of Legal Writers Award, which recognized excellence in legal writing while in law school. After graduating from Boyd School of Law, Mike was employed at the preeminent insurance defense firm in the country. During this time, Mike defended big insurance companies against catastrophic injuries and multi-million-dollar claims. During this time, Mike participated in a seven-week trial in which the jury awarded over $164,000,000.00, the third largest verdict in Nevada history. After gaining valuable experience, Mike made the decision to start his own firm with the goal of helping people, not insurance companies. In 2017, Mike was voted one of Las Vegas’ Legal Elite. He has earned his reputation as a highly-respected member of the Las Vegas legal community and takes pride in receiving most of his cases as referrals from other attorneys, medical professionals, and, most rewardingly, prior clients. Mike is fluent in Spanish, and is licensed in both Nevada and California. In his spare time, Mike gives presentations around the Las Vegas valley in hopes of educating his community about important legal issues. Mike also enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and two kids.

Jim joined the litigation team at Valiente Mott in May 2021 as the trial attorney. In his role with the firm, Jim drafts pleadings, oversees pre-trial discovery, takes and defends depositions, makes court appearances for hearings, prepares witnesses, and takes cases to trial. In bringing his talent and skill to Valiente Mott, Jim left his position as a trial attorney for one of Nevada’s most successful and well-known civil litigation firms. He advocated for Plaintiffs alongside some of the best and most respected trial attorneys in the State. Selected by his peers, Jim was honored as a Vegas, Inc. While at the Public Defender’s office, the majority of Nate’s time was spent in the courtroom, where he gained invaluable experience as a trial lawyer. Nate left the Public Defender’s office to reunite with Mike and Tim to add his unique blend of experience to be a powerful advocate to those who have been injured. Nate received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. Year in and year out, UVA is ranked as a top ten law school by U.S News & World Report. While attending law school, Nate completed an externship with the Honorable Chief Judge Gloria Navarro of the United States District Court for the District of Nevada. Prior to attending law school, Nate graduated magna cum laude from Brigham Young University. Nate’s experience working for large corporations and insurance companies and the indigent at the Public Defender’s Office, has brought him to the realization that his passion is helping those who cannot help themselves. He understands that being a lawyer is a great responsibility and privilege. He prides himself on serving his clients to the very best of his abilities. In his free time, Nate loves to be with his wife, Jan, and their four children, Elin, Will, Jude, and Eva. He also enjoys a round of golf and a good book. Laura Lomeli is a personal injury attorney born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a minor in Sociology, from Nevada State University. She received her Juris Doctor from the William S. Boyd School of Law, where she was actively involved in community-focused leadership and advocacy.

Wendy Arce, Associate at Valiente Mott, was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and moved with her family to the U.S. in 2001. Wendy was raised in Las Vegas where she attended college and law school, creating strong connections with the Las Vegas community. Wendy’s passion for assisting clients stems from her previous role as a Paralegal. She began working at a law firm at just 18 years old where she worked through college and learned the particularities of the personal injury field. After college, Wendy pursued her lifelong dream of becoming a lawyer.
