Constance Wannamaker, attorney and founder, advocates for the legal rights of immigrants and runs ultramarathons. Fluent in Spanish, she joined VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) to assist migrants and refugees. She studied at Oxford University, working in the Immigration Law Clinic. After graduating from the University of Maryland Law School in 1999, she began her career fighting for the rights of immigrants across the nation. Her passion and commitment guide our approach at CR Wannamaker Law. For over twenty years, she has dedicated her life to helping her clients wherever they are with Immigration Legal Defense. Whether in court or at trial, Constance has the resilience and commitment to overcome what might seem impossible and remains passionate about supporting the rights of immigrant workers in the United States.

Attorney Claudia Avalos takes a highly client-focused approach in practicing law. Before she begins a case, she conducts a thorough, in-depth consultation with her clients to determine their goals. Once she has a clear view of their motivations and goals, she works tirelessly at achieving the best possible outcome for them. Shenila A. Momin graduated with a double major in Political Science and Communications in 1995 from Houston Baptist University suma cum laude. She attended some of the top law schools in the United States from Notre Dame Law School in South Bend, Indiana to Southern Methodist University Law School in Dallas, Texas. Ms. Momin was admitted to the State of Bar of Texas in 1999. She is authorized to practice law before the Supreme Court of Texas and all Immigration Courts. She is also a member of the State Bar of Texas and American Immigration Lawyer’s Association (AILA). Ms. Momin is one of the founding partners in the law firm and she practices in all areas of immigration, business transactions including real estate and corporate acquisitions and trademark registration. Ms. Momin represents a wide variety of clients from the individual employer to multi-million dollar corporations. Shenila A. Momin has served and continues to serve in various local community organizations and is head of the legal affairs department for Ibn Sina Foundation, a non-profit health organization in Houston, Texas.

Farooq A. Esani spent his early years in Karachi, Pakistan. He moved to U.S. in 1986 as a student to attend the University of Houston. Being an immigrant himself, he is passionate about immigration issues and understands the harsh realities of settling and assimilating into a new culture. Mr. Esani did his undergraduate work in the field of Business Administration and earned his Master’s in Accounting and Taxation. As a Certified Public Accountant, he held various financial and tax positions with American General Corporation and Arthur Andersen, LLP. Mr. Esani received his law degree in 1999, graduating Cum Laude. Mr. Esani is authorized to practice law before the Supreme Court of Texas and all Immigration Courts. Mr. Esani served as an Immigration Associate for the prestigious firm of Thompson & Knight, LP until 2000, when he entered the private practice of law. Mr. Esani devotes his practice to family and employment-based immigration, employer sanctions and naturalization, as well as some litigation. As a community leader, Mr. Esani has conducted numerous public seminars on immigration matters. In addition, Mr. Esani serves on the board of various community associations and provides legal assistance to community health and financial institutions. Farooq A. Esani is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), State Bar of Texas and the Houston Bar Association.

Katherine (“Katie”) Hawkins is a dedicated immigration attorney based in North Texas, with a strong commitment to serving diverse communities. She graduated from Texas A&M University School of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2018. Before pursuing a legal career, Ms. Hawkins worked as an elementary school teacher in South Louisiana, where she taught third and fourth graders. Ms. Hawkins holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Louisiana Tech University, which she utilizes to provide trauma-informed legal care. Her journey into law was inspired by witnessing a grandmother’s determined fight to protect her grandchildren and access the justice system. This experience fueled her passion to bridge the gap between the broader community and the legal world.
