Outside of work, Ricky Whitehead enjoys spending their free time cooking, especially baking, and playing board games with friends. They share their home with a German Shepherd named Poe, who adds a special joy to their life.

Carl Ritter is a senior attorney at Bryan Fagan, PLLC, representing clients in family law and estate planning matters. HIs focus areas are contested divorces, child custody disputes, guardianships, and contested wills. Carl doesn’t shy away from the cases involving parties with difficult pasts, or cases involving Child Protective Services (CPS). He is a fierce advocate for clients that are attempting to keep or regain custody of their children, and he also provides assistance to grandparents who are fighting for their grandchildren. He understands that the best interest of the child is always the most important factor in any case. Carl’s representation extends to clients that are interested in estate planning as well as clients that need help with issues of guardianship. Carl has substantial experience in contested probate cases that must proceed through litigation. Litigation and the courtroom have always been Carl’s favorite part of being an attorney. With over 35 years as a practicing attorney, Carl has an extensive background, including serving as a Judge Advocate General (JAG) officer in the United States Air Force. He has also spent 10 years as an attorney with the Office of the Attorney General in Texas. Carl and his wife of 25 years recently relocated to Houston to be near their two children who attend school at Texas A&M and Houston Baptist University. Carl enjoys time spent with his family at the beach and in the mountains, where you can find him golfing, swimming, relaxing in lazy rivers, eating fantastic foods, and enjoying the great outdoors.

Teresa Glascoe is a family law attorney at Bryan Fagan, PLLC. Becoming a lawyer has been a life-long dream, and she is passionate in providing her clients with the representation they deserve. Meet Byron Shaw, Our dedicated attorney with a distinguished legal career spanning over 24 years, Byron Shaw brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our team. Licensed to practice law in both Ohio and Texas, he has dedicated over two decades to serving clients in family law and criminal law. After four impactful years as a prosecutor in CPS cases, Byron transitioned into private practice, where he has skillfully navigated complex divorces, custody disputes, enforcement actions, CPS cases, and criminal defense matters. In addition to his practice in Texas and Ohio, Byron is a proud member of several prestigious bars, including the U.S. Supreme Court Bar, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit Bar, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio Bar. After graduating law school with honors Duane Stamp began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in New York, successfully prosecuting felony and high-profile criminal cases. This was followed by a tenure as Assistant Attorney General with the New York State Department of Law, focusing on environmental protection and compliance. Duane was approached by Fortune 100 Occidental Petroleum Corporation (NYSE- OXY) and accepted a position as associate general counsel. He spent the next nineteen years in Oxy’s legal department accumulating a wealth of experience in the legal aspects of business issues management, corporate governance, sales, purchasing, new business development, corporate transactions and financing, financial reporting and regulatory compliance, rising to the level of division Vice-President and General Counsel. During his years with Oxy Duane traveled extensively, domestically and internationally, as a leading member of Oxy’s business teams negotiating, documenting and closing high-value merger, acquisition and new business development transactions with companies across the United States and in Canada, Germany, the UK, Brazil, Argentina, Thailand and Japan. Duane is currently the managing member of Stamp Law Group PLLC. Since 2010 his boutique firm has provided general counsel and business consulting services with a focus on small businesses and entrepreneurs involved in a wide variety of enterprises. Duane’s extensive business and legal experience makes him a value-added and cost-effective member of his clients’ teams assisting their business development in the e-commerce era to achieve effective and responsible growth and profitability. Duane received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy with honors from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a law degree with honors from Western New England University in Springfield, Massachusetts where he was a contributor to the Law Review. An avid (but still frustratingly mediocre) golfer, part-time piano player, and language enthusiast, Duane and his wife, Linda, reside in Dallas, Texas.

For over 20 years Myron E. Mims Esq. has provided legal and consulting services to small and medium sized businesses. At the turn of the century Mims co-founded a boutique law firm (Nixon Mims, LLP) that developed a niche advising and representing a diverse clientele of small businesses. Nixon Mims also operated a American Title office in downtown Dallas that serviced its real estate clients. Mims served as general counsel and oversaw compliance for many of the firm’s clients operating under state and federal regulatory oversight. Today, Mims’ practice remains focused on providing value-add legal services to businesses and real estate entrepreneurs, with an acute focus on advising growth-stage companies seeking to institute a sound governance foundation; develop viable growth, capitalization, and succession (exit) plans; and access equity capital and alternative financing markets. Mims honed his leadership skills thru civic service, including as mayor-appointed chairman of two downtown Dallas’ Tax Increment Financing District (TIF) boards, and chairman of the City’s first local government corporation. Braden Bennett, the Firm’s principal attorney, has been practicing construction litigation since 2009. He studied at the University of San Diego School of Law, where he was a member of the San Diego Law Review. Mr. Bennett graduated with honors from the University Southern California in 2004. He enjoys travel, fishing, fitness, and Trojan football.

Constance Wannamaker, attorney and founder, advocates for the legal rights of immigrants and runs ultramarathons. Fluent in Spanish, she joined VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) to assist migrants and refugees. She studied at Oxford University, working in the Immigration Law Clinic. After graduating from the University of Maryland Law School in 1999, she began her career fighting for the rights of immigrants across the nation.
