Katherine (“Katie”) Hawkins is a dedicated immigration attorney based in North Texas, with a strong commitment to serving diverse communities. She graduated from Texas A&M University School of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2018. Before pursuing a legal career, Ms. Hawkins worked as an elementary school teacher in South Louisiana, where she taught third and fourth graders. Ms. Hawkins holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Louisiana Tech University, which she utilizes to provide trauma-informed legal care. Her journey into law was inspired by witnessing a grandmother’s determined fight to protect her grandchildren and access the justice system. Michael Galyen is the firm’s Executive Vice President and a trial attorney practicing out of Bailey & Galyen’s Fort Worth office. Attorney Lori Shannon focuses her practice on family law, representing clients out of the Bailey & Galyen offices in Bedford, Texas. Originally from Sweetwater, Texas, Lori graduated for Texas Tech University, in Lubbock, earning her bachelors degree in advertising. She then worked in television and radio before returning to school, completing her juris doctor at the Texas Tech School of Law. Her background includes serving as a producer and legal executive in the entertainment industry, managing high-profile talent, and coordinating multimillion-dollar fundraising events. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Houston Law Center, Ms. Codwell has been a member of several professional and civic organizations, including the National Bar Association, State Bar of Texas- Trial Lawyers Assoc, Jack and Jill of America, The Links, Incorporated, and the Museum of Fine Arts 5A Board. Ms. Codwell is an avid sports enthusiast and college sports fan. She and husband have three sons, two of which played D1 football.

Kathy Bylinowski earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Purdue University. She went on to obtain her Juris Doctor, Cum Laude, from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis. Following law school, Kathy Bylinowski began her legal career practicing personal injury defense in Indiana. She later relocated to Texas, where she founded and successfully operated a business in the Katy Texas area before returning to the practice of law. Erica Jackson was raised in Stafford, Texas, a small town near Houston. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Huston-Tillotson University in Austin, Texas, graduating cum laude. During her undergraduate studies, she received numerous academic honors, including recognition as the university’s highest-ranking political science student, and was named both a Hatton W. Sumners Scholar and a W.E.B. Du Bois Scholar. Erica was initiated into the Beta Kappa Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. in 2010 and remains an active member, dedicated to serving her community through the organization’s programs and initiatives. Following her undergraduate studies, Mrs. Jackson earned her Juris Doctor from the Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she attended on academic scholarship. She gained valuable legal experience as a law clerk for a personal injury firm and as a student attorney in the Southern University Divorce Clinic. After passing the Louisiana Bar Exam, Mrs. Jackson began practicing personal injury law and was later admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana. Khalid Aboujamous earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in English from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV). He went on to obtain his Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center (UHLC), where he further developed his advocacy and dispute-resolution skills. During law school, Khalid was an active member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Team and served on the Executive Board of the Muslim Legal Society. He also trained as a mediator and volunteered with the UHLC Mediation Clinic, assisting in the resolution of disputes referred by the Dispute Resolution Center of Harris County. Before joining KGS Law Group, Khalid practiced as a Personal Injury Plaintiff’s Attorney at Pierce Skrabanek PLLC.
