Benjamin Lawrence focuses on developing quality relationships with clients and providing them with dedicated and personalized service. Ben graduated cum laude from the S. J. Quinney College of Law, where he was a Leary Scholar. He received the top grade in his Lawyering Skills and Law & Literature courses and placed second in a regional ABA Negotiation Competition. He completed an internship with the Third District Office of the Guardian ad Litem, where he worked to represent the best interests of abused and neglected children in juvenile court. Prior to law school, Ben earned a dual Bachelor’s in English and Architecture from the University of Utah and a Master’s in Shakespearean Studies from King’s College London. He volunteers for pro bono and low-cost legal service programs, and enjoys reading, cooking, playing guitar, singing, and any activity involving power tools.Ben Lawrence’s areas of practice include family and divorce mediation, divorce, custody, modification & enforcement, protective orders, adoption, paternity, and estate planning.

Prior to joining Hepworth & Murray in 2016, Tyler worked in the Office of General Counsel – International for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he worked on a variety of legal matters ranging from income tax issues, immigration, real estate transactions, and employment matters. Although he enjoyed the comforts of corporate life, Tyler’s real passion is advocacy, whether in the courtroom or the across the negotiation table. Tyler earned his law degree from the University of Oregon School of Law, where he received high marks in trial advocacy and was known around school for being a bit of trial junky. While in law school he worked in the public defender’s office as a court-certified law student where he represented three criminal defendants in jury trials before he even graduated. Also during law school, he received expert training in Alternative Dispute Resolution through the nationally ranked Oregon ADR Center. Born and raised in Davis County, Tyler takes advantage of all that Utah has to offer from the great culture and entertainment found in our cities to the amazing outdoor recreation that is only an hour or so away. In his free time, Tyler enjoys being active in his community and spending time with family.

I attended college at the University of Utah, graduating Phi Beta Kappa with a bachelor's degree in English and French. I then attended law school at the University of Utah's S.J. Quinney College of Law, graduating in the top third of class with my juris doctorate in 2014. I took and passed the Utah State Bar Exam later that summer, and shortly thereafter I went into private practice, working primarily as family/domestic law litigator and criminal defense attorney. After nearly nine years in family law and criminal defense, I decided to move into practice areas other than family/domestic law. As a result, in November 2023, I was fortunate enough to join the highly esteemed and successful law firm of Goebel Anderson PC, where I am practicing general commercial litigation.

Traci Gundersen, Of Counsel, is both a real estate sales agent and real estate attorney with nearly twenty years of experience. Her real estate sales focus on single family residences in Draper and the south Salt Lake valley area. Her law practice covers a broad array of real estate topics, including planning and zoning issues, real estate licensing and ethics rules, and handling landlord/tenant disputes.

Dallin F. Checketts is a general practice attorney with specialized expertise in real estate and eminent domain. He earned a degree in Economics from Utah State University and his Juris Doctor from BYU Law. Dallin has worked as a realtor, entrepreneur, and in-house counsel for a successful real estate development company. Dallin can simplify complex legal issues, making them more accessible and less intimidating for his clients. He believes conflict and uncertainty are detrimental to the well-being of his clients, so he strives to reduce the stress typically associated with complex legal issues by providing clear paths forward for those he represents. His approach not only eases the legal journey for his clients but also ensures that they are well-informed and confident in every step they take. Dallin is a man of honesty and integrity—except for when he tricked his sweetheart, who is way out of his league, into marrying him.
