Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
I recently represented a parent in a highly contested custody case where the other parent sought to relocate out of state with the child. The case involved complex psychological evaluations and competing expert testimony. Through preparation and a clear presentation of the child’s best interests, I secured an outcome that allowed my client to maintain primary custody and ensure the child’s continued stability and access to both parents. Helping families find balance after conflict is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
How did you build a successful practice?
My practice grew through dedication to each client and a commitment to providing honest, strategic guidance. I started in family law over twenty years ago as a paralegal, which gave me a deep understanding of both the legal and emotional sides of these cases. When clients trust that you genuinely care about their future, they refer others — and that trust is the foundation of a successful practice.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Clients should look for a lawyer who listens carefully and communicates clearly. Family law requires not only knowledge and courtroom skill but also empathy and patience. The best lawyers combine compassion with strong advocacy — someone who will protect your rights while helping you move toward resolution with confidence.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
Local knowledge is essential in family law. Every county and courtroom has its own procedures, expectations, and judicial tendencies. Having practiced exclusively in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties for many years, I understand the preferences of local judges and the nuances of the court system. That insight helps me prepare clients more effectively and anticipate potential challenges before they arise.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
Our firm offers an initial consultation for a modest $50 fee. During that meeting, I review the client’s goals, explain the legal process relevant to their situation, and outline potential strategies for moving forward. This ensures every client receives meaningful, case-specific guidance from the very beginning.
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?
For the $50 initial consultation, I encourage clients to provide any existing court orders, prior agreements, or documents related to their case. Having accurate background information allows me to assess the situation quickly and offer advice tailored to their circumstances.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
I combine over two decades of family law experience with a client-centered approach built on empathy, strategy, and preparation. As a Certified Family Law Specialist, I have advanced training in complex divorce, custody, and support matters — but I never lose sight of the human side of each case. My clients know I’m invested in their outcome, and that commitment sets me apart.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
The most rewarding part of my job is helping clients find stability during one of the most difficult times in their lives. Family law isn’t just about legal outcomes — it’s about protecting children, restoring balance, and helping people move forward with confidence and peace of mind. Seeing that transformation in my clients makes the work deeply meaningful.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
Outside of law, I enjoy spending time with my family and supporting local youth activities. I also have a passion for mentoring young professionals interested in legal careers, especially those balancing work, education, and parenting. I believe that encouraging others to achieve their goals strengthens both the profession and the community.
Are you involved in your community?
Yes. I participate in local legal education events and community outreach programs focused on family wellness and child advocacy. I also support local charitable efforts and professional organizations that promote access to justice and empower women in law throughout the Inland Empire.
