About Abed
In addition to his Juris Doctorate, Mr. Awad holds a Certificate in Comparative Law & a Masters in Near and Middle East Studies from the University of London (School of Oriental & African Studies). Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Awad was the Law Clerk for the Honorable George E. Sabbath of the New Jersey Superior Court.
As a frequent public speaker at bar associations, universities, conventions and political events, Mr. Awad lectures on subjects ranging from law, politics, gender, religion, and culture internationally, with more than 200 television and radio appearances. Mr. Awad has appeared on ABC, CNN, CNNfn, CBC, BBC World Service, Channel 4 (England) among others. Mr. Awad has been quoted in numerous American newspapers such as The New York Times, Washington Post, Boston Globe, The Guardian, Fox News, Chicago Tribune, Star Ledger, Bergen Record, Village Voice, New Jersey Law Journal and Chicago Lawyer among others.
Awad is an Adjunct Law Professor at Rutgers Law School, Newark, and has taught at Pace Law School and Seton Hall Law School.
