About Abed

Abed Awad is a founding partner of Awad & Khoury, LLP located in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey.  Abed Awad practices in the Trusts, and Estates and Business and Commercial areas of laws. He handles estate planning, estate administration and estate litigation as well as asset protection and business succession planning. Awad has native fluency in Arabic and is a national expert in laws of the Middle East.

In addition to his Juris Doctorate, Mr. Awad holds a Certificate in Comparative Law & a Masters in Near and Middle East Studies from the University of London (School of Oriental & African Studies). Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Awad was the Law Clerk for the Honorable George E. Sabbath of the New Jersey Superior Court.

As a frequent public speaker at bar associations, universities, conventions and political events, Mr. Awad lectures on subjects ranging from law, politics, gender, religion, and culture internationally, with more than 200 television and radio appearances. Awad is an Adjunct Law Professor at Rutgers Law School, Newark, and has taught at Pace Law School and Seton Hall Law School. Mr. Awad received an AV rating by Martindale, which is the highest Peer Review rating reflecting the highest professional excellence and is a fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers.
