A criminal defendant I was representing was being held on a $100,000 cash bond and was suspected in over 18 breaking and entering cases. After getting his case bound over to the circuit court, I was able to get his bond lowered to 10% of $10,000 and after discrediting all of the prosecution's evidence, I was able negotiate a plea that allowed my client to return home to his family and simply be placed on probation for 2 years. My client was facing up to 10 years in prison and instead I was able to work out a deal that resulted in 2 years of probation.
