About Adam

Adam J Reiss, through and under the Firm Counsel Chartered transactional law boutique, serves as Special Counsel to Salpeter Gitkin, LLP, where he oversees much of the firm's transactional work. Adam's practice includes the formation, negotiation and drafting of operational structures for profit corporations, partnerships, disregarded entities, real estate developments, operational syndications and joint venture vehicles. He provides counsel to individuals and entities with respect to selecting and forming the most appropriate business structure for federal and state tax and liability purposes.

Adam is experienced in the preparation, negotiation and drafting of numerous wide-ranging transactional documents including acquisition & sale agreements for business entities, unimproved real property and existing commercial shopping centers as well as in the review and negotiation of finance related transaction documents. He also has experience in the preparation, negotiation and drafting of leases and lease related documents including construction exhibits, estoppels, SNDAs, amendments, assignments and tenant work-out & termination agreements.

Adam currently serves as Vice-President & General Counsel to a well regarded commercial real estate development, property management and leasing firm in Broward County, FL. He provides general legal and business advice to each department of the company, manages its outside legal team, and counsels the company and its affiliates in the areas of business, tax and securities law. Adam works closely with executive management on existing property acquisitions, new development projects and financing (both in debt and equity) of existing and development properties as well as the property management and leasing divisions.

Adam graduated from The George Washington University in 1992 where he received his B.A. degree in Political Science. In 1999, he received his Juris Doctor from The University of Miami School of Law and in 2000 received an LL.M. in Taxation, also from The University of Miami School of Law. Adam is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida, has been a member of the Florida Bar Association (Tax Law Section) and the American Bar Association (Business Section Committee of Partnerships and Unincorporated Business Organizations).
