I obtained multiple six figure recoveries for incarcerated individuals who were subject to excessive use of force. Two of my clients suffer from mental health issues which made making a recovery on their behalf that more satisfying. I also overturned an attempt to steal the assets of an Estate, valued in the millions, that ended up benefiting over twenty persons, most of them working poor and greatly in need of the monetary bequest.

My driving force has been ensuring that I provide highly competent and effective representation to my clients. This has meant being a conscientious, smart and aggressive advocate in my pursuit of justice for my clients. Over my twenty five years in private practice the great majority of the thousands of people I have represented have appreciated these qualities.

I believe you have to ensure that your lawyer is forthright and realistic with you as it pertains to achieving your goals. It's important that your lawyer is someone who has the time to speak to you and discuss your matter in a thoughtful manner. Additionally, you need to be comfortable with your attorney as the attorney-client relationship has to be based upon mutual respect and candor.

Knowledge of the law as it applies to any situation is critical. New York State Law is applicable in all New York State cases but local New York City law does apply in certain circumstances. The local Federal courts will apply Federal Law or State Law depending on the type of case that is being litigated.

Typically, I can provide a client with their options on how to address a client's issue. It is not uncommon that a review of pertinent documents may be necessary prior to providing firm advice.

The more information provided the better. However, this is always dependent upon the particular case.

I am driven by a pursuit of justice. As a child growing up I always wanted to be on the weaker team when playing sports, as I felt I had more to offer working alongside those who may have needed more assistance. This sentiment in me grew, whereas, I see using the law to help others as my calling. Justice comes in many shapes and forms and for me has ranged from obtaining compensation for the injured to litigating over real property to ensure that real property is not diverted from rightful heirs and family members to others. So ultimately, my driving force differentiates me from many in my profession.

Achieving a just result for my clients is by far the most rewarding aspect of practicing law.

I am interested in politics and how it can be used to create a more just, equitable and fair society.

I do provide pro bono services to entities and individuals but not to the level that I could and should. I have also mentored a young man.
