About Akisha

Ms. Johnson is the founding partner of the Law Offices of A. Michelle Johnson, P.L.L.C., and focuses her practice primarily on Social Security disability, personal injury, family law and civil litigation.  Her previous experience has been in both criminal and civil litigation, respectively, in the public and private sector.  

Previously, she was employed as a Law Clerk and later as an Associate at the law firm of Grier, Copeland & Williams, P.C. (previously known as Grier & Copeland, P.C.) for more than five years.  During this time, she worked intricately on cases covering the areas of medical malpractice, wrongful death, employment discrimination, and auto negligence.  

Notably, during her time at Grier, Copeland & Williams, she served as a second chair to senior partner and co-counsel for the City of Detroit, Wilson Copeland, II during the highly publicized Whistleblower case, Gary Brown, et al. v. City of Detroit, et al.
