Questions & Answers
Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
Baby brain damage case in which mother presented to clinic at 35 weeks pregnancy claiming baby was not moving normally and was told by first year clinic resident that this was not abnormal. Mother was sent home without proper instructions for monitoring and without arranging for immediate sonograms to assess the well being of the baby. Mother presented to hospital 36 hrs. later complaining she felt no movement of the baby for the past few days and assessment showed the baby was not doing well. A C-section was not performed for over 2 hours and the baby was born with severe hypoxic brain damage, diagnosed with cerebral palsy and marked disability. My firm achieved a substantial pretrial settlement to compensate and take care of the child over his lifetime.
