Jacob is a U.S. Navy Veteran, a graduate of the University of New Mexico and Valparaiso School of Law. Jacob has been helping New Mexicans injured due to the negligence of others for over ten years. He lives and works in Albuquerque and deeply cares about his fellow New Mexicans.

Margaret Moses Branch is married to Turner W. Branch, senior partner of the Branch Law Firm. Ms. Branch is the managing partner. She is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and International Women’s Forum, named Woman of the Year in 1995. She serves on the Board of Directors of the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association and is currently on the Board of Directors of the Center for Civic Values (Interest on Legal Trust Accounts). She was Chair of the Association of Trial Lawyers Women’s Law Caucus (5,000 members) and was founding President of the New Mexico Women’s Bar Association. She has been a frequent lecturer on Continuing Legal Education programs for attorneys. Ms. Branch has served as Vice-Chair of the Association of Trial Lawyers of the America Tobacco Litigation Group. In her practice, Margaret Moses Branch has been particularly interested in women’s health issues. She has served on the Executive Committee of the Failure to Diagnose Breast Cancer ATLA Litigation Group. She was moderator for the National College of Advocacy, Medical-Legal Update Seminar, for the section entitled “Medicine and the Law: Special Issues Facing Women.” Ms. Branch served as a moderator of the ATLA National College of Advocacy, “Litigating Women’s Health Issues”. She has served as counsel in cases that involved failure to diagnose breast cancer, colon cancer, uterine cancer, pancreatitis, leukoplakia, peritonitis, appendicitis, compartment syndrome, aneurysms, pneumonia, meningitis, abruptio placenta, kernicterus, and other illnesses and diseases. She has been involved in cases that addressed issues of surgical negligence, i.e., laminectomies, cholecystectomies, colonoscopies, hernia repairs, and hip replacements. Additionally, she has been involved in cases that dealt with obstetrical issues, i.e., failure to perform timely Caesarean sections, inappropriate radiological procedures, unnecessary hysterectomies, and incomplete abortions.

Jesse Gallegos is Senior Counsel at Singleton Schreiber and part of the firm’s Fire Litigation Practice. His thorough understanding of litigation strategy and regulatory compliance has been crucial to navigating the complexities of wildfire liability cases, helping to secure favorable outcomes for clients who have suffered devastating losses in catastrophic fires. Before joining Singleton Schreiber, Jesse served as General Counsel and Chief Government Accountability Officer for the New Mexico Office of the State Auditor, providing sensible counsel and managing key litigation and public policy initiatives. He led the Office’s investigation into Pharmacy Benefit Managers, facilitating increased accountability regarding prescription drug costs, and worked closely with the New Mexico Supreme Court, establishing monitoring programs for conservatorships and driving significant government reforms. Jesse also gained extensive litigation, transactional, and negotiation experience representing clients in business, trust, and estate matters in Santa Fe and Denver. Jesse earned his Juris Doctor from the University of New Mexico School of Law, where he served as a manuscript editor for the New Mexico Law Review. He received his undergraduate degree in politics from Pomona College in Claremont, California. Jesse is a pragmatic and trusted legal advocate throughout New Mexico and spends his free time pursuing his passions outdoors and finding new challenges and adventures.

George Skelly is a member of Singleton Schreiber’s Personal Injury and Wrongful Death practice group, representing individuals and families throughout New Mexico who have suffered due to the wrongful actions of others. He has successfully handled cases involving automobile accidents, dog bites, slip-and-fall injuries, and other personal injury matters. With a commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for his clients, George is dedicated to helping those facing the aftermath of catastrophic injuries or motor vehicle collisions. Early in his career, Mr. Skelly distinguished himself as a passionate advocate for injured clients. Before joining Singleton Schreiber, he began his legal journey in family law, where he worked to reunite families through the adoption process. This background provided him with a deep understanding of the personal challenges families face, which he now applies to his personal injury cases. Mr. Skelly is actively involved in his community and serves as a volunteer with New Mexico Christian Legal Aid, where he assists those in need of legal guidance. He is also a member of the Albuquerque Bar Association, the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association, and the Family Law Section of the New Mexico State Bar. Mr. Skelly earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where he received the CALI Excellence Award in Legal Writing. Outside the office, George enjoys playing soccer, supporting New Mexico United, reading, and exploring the Bosque. He and his wife Vanessa recently welcomed their first child in July 2024.

Pilar Borneo is an Associate Attorney in Singleton Schreiber’s Sexual Assault and Human Trafficking and Wildfire Litigation practices, where she brings exceptional litigation skills and a robust background in both criminal and civil law. Born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Pilar has a deep-rooted commitment to justice and advocacy, which is evident in her impressive track record. Pilar began her legal career as a prosecutor, quickly distinguishing herself with her exceptional trial skills. She managed an average caseload of 130 complex and high-profile criminal cases, conducting over 30 trials and gaining proficiency in oral advocacy, trial preparation, and the rules of evidence. Her time as an Assistant District Attorney for Bernalillo County saw her excel in pre-trial and status conferences, motion hearings, and the drafting of legal briefs and motions. Transitioning to the New Mexico Office of the Attorney General, Pilar focused on Historical Preservation Law, leveraging her passion for preserving cultural heritage within the legal framework. As an Assistant Attorney General, she represented various government clients, boards, and commissions, providing legal advice, conducting appellate advocacy, and reviewing proposed legislation and rules. Her work required her to stay abreast of legal developments and collaborate on legal strategies and initiatives. Pilar's educational background includes a Juris Doctor from the University of New Mexico School of Law, where she was on the Dean's List and founded the Historical Preservation Law Society. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from New Mexico State University, where she was active in Delta Gamma Sorority and the Law & Society Club. She is an avid traveler, with Costa Rica being her favorite destination, and enjoys scuba diving, concerts, and comedy shows. Michael Duran is Partner at the Albuquerque office of Singleton Schreiber, where he brings over two decades of extensive litigation experience to the firm’s Personal Injury practice group. Mr. Duran is a lifelong New Mexican and has strong ties to northern New Mexico where his family can be traced back for several generations. His comprehensive background in handling personal injury cases at both state and federal levels includes automobile collisions, trucking accidents, premises liability, and motorcycle collisions. Before joining Singleton Schreiber, Mr. Duran served as the Managing Litigation Attorney at a prominent plaintiff law firm in Albuquerque for more than 17 years. In this role, he managed attorneys across the firm, filed and litigated numerous cases in New Mexico up and through trial. In that time, Mr. Duran took over a dozen cases to trial and verdict. His responsibilities also included supervising support staff and participating in extensive litigation activities. Earlier in his career, Mr. Duran served as an Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney at Stiff & Associates, Miller Stratvert LLP, and Houliston and Associates in Albuquerque, NM. In these positions, he litigated a wide range of insurance cases, maintaining a substantial caseload and fulfilling extensive litigation responsibilities including discovery, depositions, motions practice, and mediations. Mr. Duran earned his Juris Doctor from the University of New Mexico School of Law, where he made the Dean’s List and received a Certificate in Basic Mediation. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Management and Information Systems from the University of Phoenix. An active member of several prestigious legal associations, Mr. Duran serves on the Board of the New Mexico Trial Lawyers and is a member of the National Trial Lawyers, the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys, the American Association for Justice, and the National Hispanic Bar Association. Samantha Drum is an Attorney in the Personal Injury Department at Singleton Schreiber New Mexico, where she advocates for clients affected by car accidents, trucking accidents, slip and falls, dog bites, medical malpractice, instances of wrongful death, and other personal injury matters. Samantha earned her Juris Doctor from The University of New Mexico (UNM) School of Law, where she served as a Citations Editor and Associate Editor for the Natural Resources Journal and was named to the Honor Roll. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Philosophy from UNM, where she was a Dean’s List student and a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Demonstrating her resilience and drive, Samantha passed the New Mexico Bar Exam just six days after giving birth to her first child. She is admitted to practice in the State of New Mexico and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico. She is also an active member of the Albuquerque Bar Association and the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association. Outside of the office, Samantha enjoys baking fresh-milled bread, cooking, singing, listening to audiobooks, and raising her children alongside her husband, Matthew.

Alexander F. Flores is Senior Counsel at Singleton Schreiber’s New Mexico office, where he focuses on mass tort claims, wildfire litigation, catastrophic personal injury and wrongful deaths, and cases under the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA), including litigation in the U.S. Court of Claims. With a distinguished career as a federal prosecutor and military officer, Alex brings extensive experience in high-stakes litigation, having completed 17 federal jury trials. He is dedicated to advocating for justice, particularly in complex criminal and civil cases, and has a proven track record in both the courtroom and in legal leadership. Prior to joining Singleton Schreiber, Alexander served as a Supervisory Assistant U.S. Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice in Albuquerque where he led a team of prosecutors handling violent crime cases, including homicides, sexual assaults, kidnapping, and firearms offenses. He also focused on Indian Country crimes, working to improve public safety in New Mexico’s Native communities. Alex forged deep relationships with Tribal leaders and law enforcement, and helped the Department of Justice to increase training, strengthen inter-governmental relationships, and improve the tempo and quality of investigations and prosecutions of crimes with a focus on Mission and Murdered Indigenous Persons and sexual assault cases. Prior to his appointment as a Supervisor, Alex personally prosecuted nearly 200 federal felony cases, including successful outcomes in appeals to the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Alex’s military experience further complements his legal expertise. He served twelve years in the United States Marine Corps, holding several key positions, including in the Office of the Chief Prosecutor of Military Commissions, as a prosecutor in Okinawa, Japan, an Aide-de-Camp, acting supervisory prosecutor, and complex trial prosecutor for all Marine units in the western U.S., where he led high-profile, special victim, and other significant cases. After transitioning to the reserves, he served as a law of war instructor, a supervisory prosecutor for the Department of Defense’s busiest prosecution office, and an administrative separations board hearing officer. In late 2024, Alex joined the New Mexico Air National Guard, where he now serves as Deputy Staff Judge Advocate, advising Wing leadership on military justice, operational law, and ethics, and ensuring compliance with the Uniform Code of Military Justice. Earlier in his career, he clerked for New Mexico Supreme Court Justice Edward L. Chávez—an experience that further refined his ability to navigate complex legal matters with discipline and strategic insight. In addition to his legal practice, Alexander is actively involved in community and legal service organizations. He serves as a trustee for the Albuquerque Community Foundation, a Commissioner for the New Mexico Access to Justice Commission, and as a New Mexico Supreme Court appointee to the Access to Justice Fund Grant Committee. He is also a former Vice President of the New Mexico Hispanic Bar Association and has held leadership roles in various local organizations. Alex’s awards and recognition over the years include being recognized locally by Albuquerque Business First as the single “Most Outstanding Under 30” honoree in its annual “40 Under Forty” awards in 2013, and nationally as a Top Lawyer Under 40 Honoree by the Hispanic National Bar Association in 2021. Alexander earned his Juris Doctor from the University of New Mexico School of Law, where he was recognized with both the Dean’s Award and Faculty Award. He also holds a Master's in Public Affairs from Princeton University and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy and Political Science from The George Washington University.
