About Allison

Allison J. Skowron joined the Construction Law Practice Group of Gordon, Muir & Foley in 2007.  Allison received a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and International Business in 1998 from Assumption College in Worcester, MA .  She earned her law degree from Suffolk University Law School in Boston, MA in 2003 where she was an editor of the Suffolk University Law Review.

Allison began her career in construction law at Pepe & Hazard, LLP in Hartford, CT , where she was a member of the firm's construction, surety and insurance practice group.  She also worked for a small general practice firm in Milford, CT , where she represented clients in matters of construction law, insurance law, real estate law and criminal law.

Allison has advised and represented owners, general contractors, subcontractors, architects, sureties and other construction industry professionals in a wide variety of construction related issues, including payment and performance bond claims, mechanic's liens, contract drafting, and other construction and design related disputes.  She is admitted to practice law in the States of Connecticut and Massachusetts , as well as the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut and the United States Bankruptcy Court.  Allison has also been admitted to practice before the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation as a visiting attorney.  She has trial experience in both state and federal courts and has represented clients in arbitration and mediation proceedings.

Allison is a member of the Construction Law Section of the Connecticut Bar Association, the Associated General Contractors of America and Professional Women in Construction.  She resides in West Springfield, Massachusetts .
