Amy Carnow, JD, MSW SocialWorker/Attorney
Ms. Carnow graduated from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2001. After several years of successful commercial litigation experience, Ms. Carnow changed her career path and returned to school for another graduate degree. Ms. Carnow completed her Masters in Social Work from the Jane Addams School of Social Work at the University of Illinois-Chicago in 2007. Shortly thereafter, Ms. Carnow joined the Center for Law and Social Work bringing her expertise as an attorney and a social worker. Among many tasks, Ms. Carnow works closely with families in the Family Matters Program assisting them to secure solid legal back up planning, stand by adoption and stand by guardianship. She is also the legal advocate for families wishing to adopt or become legal guardians of children.
