About Amy

Amy N. Montgomery, associate, began practicing family law upon graduating from the University of Houston Law Center, Houston, Texas in May 2004.  She obtained her Bachelor of Arts from Southwestern University, Georgetown, Texas in May 2000.

As a law student, Amy was a member of the Interscholastic Mock Trial Team and the Houston Journal of International Law.  She was the 2003 Hippard Open Mock Trial Competition Champion, and a Finalist in the 2002 Hippard Novice Mock Trial Competition.  She also received the distinction of being named a member of The Order of Barristers.  During law school, she began clerking at Short & Jenkins focusing solely on the area of family law.  She joined the firm of Price & Price as an associate in the Spring of 2008.

In her career as a family law attorney, Amy has had the privilege of co-authoring several continuing legal education articles for the State Bar of Texas as well as presenting several family law topics for the State Bar of Texas and speaking at the 2008 State Bar of Texas Advanced Paralegal Seminar.  She is also a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Texas Family Law Section, Houston Bar Association, Montgomery County Bar Association, Burta Rhoads Raborn Inns of Court, Family Law Foundation, and the College of the State Bar of Texas.  Amy received mediation training through the A.A. White Dispute Resolution Center.  She has been selected as a Rising Star in Family Law by Texas Monthly Magazine in 2007 and 2008, and she was recently recognized as a Professional on the Fast Track by H Texas Magazine.

Amy and her husband reside in The Woodlands, Texas, and enjoy spending time with their family and friends and exploring the Woodlands walking trails with their two dogs.
