STATE v. CAYO, 143 Conn. App. 194 (2013), Reversed and Remanded. Yes as a black person, the police is always ready to accused you of crimes you did not commit. That's one of 2 reasons I went to law school.
Sept 2013, indigent client cried to me. Her attorney suggested taking the 5 years offer by the State or risk 40 years of prison. After gathering evidence, I filed a motion for speedy trial and got the case dismissed on Feb 7, 2014 after 2 years of prosecution.
