About Andrew
Mr. Susko is a partner and Chair of the firm's Litigation Department. He is also the Chair of the General Litigation Practice Group and the past chair of the Insurance Fraud Practice Group.
As a trial attorney for 25 years, Mr. Susko concentrates his practice on fighting insurance fraud, including fraud in the presentation of insurance claims. He has had extensive jury trial experience in the areas of insurance fraud, disability law, bad faith and punitive damage claims, medical malpractice, products liability, and general commercial and negligence cases.
Additionally, Mr. Susko lectures extensively in the areas of insurance fraud and the trial of civil cases, including presenting the company executive witness for deposition and trial, and litigating bad faith and extra-contractual damage claims.
Mr. Susko is highly active in the legal community and has a longtime commitment to the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Bar Associations as well as the Philadelphia area pro bono community. He served as the immediate past President of the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA), a 29,000 member organization. He is a current delegate and former chair of the PBA House of Delegates (1998-1999), a former chair of the PBA's Young Lawyers Division, and is serving his third term on the PBA's Board of Governors.
He is also a former chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association's Young Lawyers Section and served as an elected member of the Philadelphia Bar's Board of Governors. Mr. Susko is also a former chair of the PBA's Project Peace (1999-2000), a dispute resolution initiative for elementary and middle school students. He is also involved in the Philadelphia area pro bono community as a member of the Advisory Board of the Legal Clinic for the Disabled and served as a member of the Board of the Homeless Advocacy Project.
Mr. Susko is also former president of the Pennsylvania Defense Institute. And he currently serves as a member of the Pennsylvania IOLTA Board and the Pennsylvania Supreme Court's Judicial Independence Commission.
From 2004-2009, Mr. Susko was selected in a survey of his peers as a Pennsylvania "Super Lawyer" by Law & Politics magazine. He has been AV rated by the Martindale-Hubbell peer review rating system.
Mr. Susko received his B.S. in Economics in 1978, graduating summa cum laude, from Florida State University. He received his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law in 1981 where he served as a member of the Law Review and was selected to its Board of Editors.
Mr. Susko is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Florida and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for all districts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
