About Ann
Ann's practice primarily focuses on providing legal counsel and advocacy to nonprofit organizations and small businesses. She brings a unique perspective to her client matters: she is the owner of a small business, has recent experience as an attorney serving non-profit organizations, has served as the CEO and President of a New York nonprofit organization and on the boards of several nonprofit organizations throughout the United States, and has worked with various governmental agencies as a regulator.
After graduating magna cum laude from Western New England College School of Law, Ann was a law clerk at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, where she worked on an array of civil and criminal issues. As a Legislative Attorney for the New York City Council, she developed and negotiated innovative legislation concerning health care, the elderly and public corruption. Later, Ann obtained her LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center, where she specialized in tax matters affecting estate planning, small businesses, and tax-exempt organizations and participated in an externship at the U.S. Senate Finance Committee that focused on tax-exempt entities. Thereafter, Ann worked as an Associate at two District of Columbia-based law firms, renowned for their work with tax exempt organizations. Ann is admitted in New York and the District of Columbia.
