I was second chair on a large medical malpractice case. I drafted and argued pre-trial motions, assisted with witness preparation, cross examination, and direct examination of fact witnesses.

I continue to be motivated by helping people when they are at their most vulnerable. Having the ability to represent a client and navigate them through the complexities of litigation is what drives me.

A client should look for clear and consistent communication, punctuality, and complete honesty even if the advice may not be favorable.

Local knowledge is extremely important to understand case outcome and to be able to advise your client appropriately. Having knowledge of specific venues, judges, and/or defense attorneys allows a plaintiff's attorney to adequately advise her client on case status and outcome and work with her adversary to reach a compromise.

Once I gain an understanding of the case, I can provide advice on the pre-litigation process as well as the litigation process. I can also answer any questions a client may have.

I will need basic facts of the incident, summary of medical treatment and diagnosis, as well as status of current treatment.

I take every case with an aim to take it to trial. That is, I work aggressively on each case to ensure I have uncovered all of the necessary information in discovery, retained the correct experts, taken the right depositions, and positioned the case to be as strong as possible. When you do so, not only are you in a very good position to try the case, you are also in a strong position when you are negotiating settlement at mediation.

The most rewarding aspect of my job is helping people during a vulnerable time in their life.

When I'm not practicing law I like to run, bike, fly fish, and spend time with my family.
