About Arnold

Graduated Law School June 1972, American Jurisprudence Award, member Chicago Bar Association.

Arnold "Arnie" Briskman developed his passion for representing the underdog early in his career, assisted no doubt, by his experiences in sports and academia. Always sensitive to the feelings of the "last guy picked," Arnie's business philosophy reflects that sentiment to this very day.

Mr. Briskman followed in his brother Robert's footsteps at the University of Illinois and graduated with distinction in 1969. With a steadfast sense of discipline helping keep him focused during this tumultuous period of American history, Arnie applied and was accepted to DePaul Law School. Attending school in his home town proved to be a strategic asset.

Throughout law school, Arnie completed summer clerkships for the Illinois Attorney General's Office. During his tenure with the Attorney General's office, Mr. Briskman developed a keen sense about the inner workings of the Illinois' and Chicago legal systems. In addition, Mr. Briskman won the prestigious American Jurisprudence Award for his skill in Torts -- or, in layman's terms -- Injury Law.

Mr. Briskman obtained his J.D. in 1972 and returned to the familiar environs of the Attorney General's Office. By focusing on the Civil Courts, he acquired volumes of experience and a wealth of contacts that allow him to successfully and expertly represent his clients today.

Arnie entered private practice after leaving the Attorney General's office, choosing to work with his brother at the firm of Torme Horwich & Briskman. He dedicated himself to all aspects of Civil Litigation and developed a loyal client base that has remained with him through the years.

A few years after Arnie joined the practice, Mr. Torme and Mr. Horwich retired. Arnie and Robert seized the opportunity to build a new firm: Goldstein, Simon & Briskman. Arnie founded the firm's Injury Litigation Department. In so doing, he realized his powerful talent for aggressively pursuing his clients' interests -- and prevailing in a majority of his cases. Although Arnie maintained his relationship with the firm for over 10 years, he could not shake the desire to pursue his goal of founding an exceptional law firm specifically concentrating in the practices of Injury Law.

In 1987, he got his wish. Arnie and his brother created Briskman & Briskman. Years of experience, dedication and development had helped them to create a firm that has diligently earned the reputation of being on the Cutting Edge in respect to "defending the little guy."

Arnie's lifelong philosophy, as a defender of the "little guy" which developed as a child in the ballparks and classrooms of his native Chicago serves him as well today. It has lent mightily to his many successes throughout his legal career. Arnold Briskman is forever "on your side."
