Mr. Newman received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1964 and his Juris Doctor in 1967, both from the University of Denver. During law school, he worked as an insurance adjuster. He has been licensed to practice law in Colorado and Illinois since 1967 and in Florida since 1984. For more than 30 years, Mr. Newman has actively practiced law with various law firms specializing in personal injury, workers compensation, products liability, malpractice, probate and estate planning, corporate, real estate, banking laws and civil litigation. In 1991, Mr. Newman co-founded the law firm of The Law Offices of Newman, Boyer & Statham, Ltd. Mr. Newman is a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, the Illinois State Bar Association and the South Suburban Bar Association. He has served as an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association, a director for the Jewish Vocational Service and for Leen Financial, Ltd., as counsel for Suburban Federal Savings Bank, now known as Citizens Financial Services (FSB) and as counsel to First Eagle National Bank.
