About Ashby

Ashby Davis’ litigation practice is focused in the areas of catastrophic personal injury, car accidents, medical malpractice, and nursing home negligence. Mr. Davis is a native Floridian and was raised in Port St. Joe, Florida. Prior to joining Woods Trial Law, he practiced civil litigation defense for some of the Nation’s largest insurance companies, which allows him to leverage his institutional knowledge of insurance companies to his clients’ advantage. Mr. Davis has been ranked by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in Civil Litigation from 2017 - 2021. He has also been recognized by Best Lawyers:Ones to Watch.

Mr. Davis graduated magna cum laude from University of North Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Minor in Spanish in 2008. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the Florida State University College of Law in May 2012, where he was the recipient of the Distinguished Pro Bono Service award and various other scholarships. Mr. Davis was also member and served on the piece selection committee of the Florida State University Journal of Transnational Law & Policy and was the author of “Take from the State and Give to the Union: Dissolving Member State Sovereignty Through the Noble Goal of Establishing a Common Market,” 21 FLA. ST. J. TRANSNAT’L L. & POL’Y 207 (2011-2012). During law school, he worked in the Complex Litigation Division of the Florida Office of the Attorney General.
