About Barbara
Barbara J. Felt is an advocate for employees and individuals whose civil rights have been violated. Ms. Felt has a significant experience in civil litigation, having represented numerous plaintiffs in employment law, personal injury, commercial litigation, and consumer fraud claims. She has represented employees in a wide range of harassment, discrimination, and retaliation actions, including cases involving claims of age, race, gender, national origin, pregnancy and sexual orientation discrimination in the workplace. Ms. Felt has also handled complex class action disputes in consumer fraud and price-fixing cases, seeking to stop these illegal practices and compensate those who were defrauded. She has been involved in all aspects of the litigation and appellate process, and has participated in several significant trials as well as appeals involving cases of first impression.
Ms. Felt graduated from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, in 1992. While attending law school, she attended the Mexican Legal Studies Program in Mexico City, Mexico, through the University of Houston Law Center. Ms. Felt is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, where she was named a Presidential Scholar. There, she received a B.A. in Art History with a minor in Spanish. Ms. Felt grew up in Mexico City, Mexico and Valencia, Venezuela. Her foreign upbringing gave Ms. Felt a unique perspective on differing cultures and an appreciation of our common interests as global citizens – a focus that complements her advocacy on behalf of employees who have experienced discrimination in the workplace.
