About Barbara
Barbara M. Pizzolato, Esq. has been practicing law since 1987 and is licensed to practice law in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Florida. She is presently a member of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, Suffolk County Bar Association, Florida Bar Association and Lee County Bar Association.
She has served on a number of Boards including the Suffolk County Pro Bono Association, Long Island Center for Business and Professional Women, Long Island Woman's Network, Nassau/Suffolk Law Services Committee, Inc. and Officer of the Suffolk County Academy of Law.
In Florida, Ms. Pizzolato was on the Board of the Business Network of Southwest Florida and headed up the professional development committee; in addition, Ms. Pizzolato was a Major Investor Trustee to the Chamber of Southwest Florida. Ms. Pizzolato is currently a member of the Rotary Club of Fort Myers South.
In New York, she sat as a court appointed small claims court arbitrator and also served as a matrimonial fee dispute arbitrator.
Ms. Pizzolato has published articles on such topics as limited liability companies, real estate, trusts and estates, and landlord/tenant law; she is a frequent instructor and public speaker on those and other topics. In addition, Ms. Pizzolato teaches a Landlord/Tenant Law course to attorneys in New York.
Ms. Pizzolato, the sole shareholder of Barbara M. Pizzolato, P.A., concentrates her practice in business, partnership and corporate law (including limited liability companies), real estate litigation (including foreclosures and workouts), transactional real estate (commercial and residential), trusts and estates, landlord/tenant and commercial litigation.
In addition, six attorneys have an "of counsel" relationship with the firm offering independent representation in the fields of criminal, matrimonial, personal injury and bankruptcy law.
Ms. Pizzolato relocated her main office to Southwest Florida in October, 2002 and resides in Fort Myers, Florida with her husband and children. She continues to maintain an office in Melville, New York and West Orange, New Jersey traveling there often for a variety of client matters.
