Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
I was able to get a bankruptcy discharge revoked in a case where the debtor was unable to discharge his IRS liability. He can now refile and discharge almost $200K in tax liability. A unique one of its kind case because it is rare where a debtor can revoke a discharge.
How did you build a successful practice?
Word of mouth and being able assuage clients' concerns about their finances.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Someone who is excellent at what he does and has a sense of humor.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
Quite. I have been appearing before the bankruptcy court for almost 40 years. There is an advantage to that.

I prefer the client come in. I do not charge for this either.

I'm a character and have a good schtick for clients. I keep them laughing while addressing their financial problems.
