About Beth

Beth has been dedicated to helping families for more than 25 years by serving as a judge, lawyer and social worker. In 2005, Beth joined GoransonBain as a partner. Prior to joining the firm, Beth served as the Judge of the 303rd Family District Court and as the Associate Judge of the 301st Family District Court. Before her judicial service, Beth was a partner at the law firm of Gardere & Wynne, L.L.P. where she practiced family law involving complex property issues and child-related issues. Prior to entering the legal profession, Beth worked with children in crisis and was recognized as a child abuse expert.

Beth's extensive experience in working with families provides her clients with the necessary tools to resolve their family law disputes in a constructive manner. She specializes in handling cases involving issues of substance abuse, mental illness, domestic violence, and abuse of children. Beth has been appointed by courts and retained by other attorneys to represent children in difficult family law matters. Her practice includes all aspects of family law including complex property issues and child-related matters. She often serves as a mediator and practices Collaborative Law.

In the short period of time since Beth left the bench, she has been selected as one of The Best Lawyers in America in Family Law and Family Law Mediation, named one of the Best Lawyers in Dallas by D Magazine and a Texas Super Lawyer by Texas Monthly. She is a member of the Dallas Bar Association, Texas Family Law Foundation, Dallas Bar Fellow and Texas Bar. She has served on the St Mary's Law School Alumni Board of Directors and the Dallas Family Law Board of Directors. She is currently on the Board of Directors of Kids Matter International and the advisory board of Faith & Liberty's Place. Beth also volunteers her time to organizations that deal with domestic violence in families and children in need. She has authored papers and has presented speeches on many different family law issues.
