About Blaine
From 1991 to 1993, Blaine practiced with the firm of Pitre, Yoes, Kay and Halley in Lake Charles. In 1993, Blaine founded and, as litigation specialist, managed the Lake Charles House Counsel office of Allstate Insurance Company. In March of 2001, Blaine entered solo practice and soon became a founding partner of the law firm of Doucet Lorio, LLC. Blaine has represented both claimants and insurance companies in auto, property, workers' compensation, health, construction, serious injury, death and chemical exposure claims. He has experience in domestic matters and the International law arena, having represented families all over the world in International adoption cases, and continues to represent insurance companies, individuals, businesses and contractors across the state.
Blaine has extensive litigation experience, having taken to trial hundreds of cases representing both plaintiffs and insurance companies. He has particular experience in litigation involving automobile accident and property claims, death claims, arson and fraud matters, health insurance claims, police brutality and excessive force claims, International contract disputes, toxic mold exposure claims, industrial and maritime personal injury claims, workers' compensation claims, silica and asbestos toxic tort litigation, and contractor warranty cases.
Education: Blaine was an honor graduate from Sulphur High School in 1977, earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Management and Marketing from McNeese State University in 1984 and his Juris Doctorate from the LSU Law Center in 1991.
