Mr. Matthews is a graduate of Centre College, Danville, Kentucky, and of the University of Tennessee College of Law, where he obtained his law degree, summa cum laude , and was named to the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. He was also elected to membership in The Order of the Coif, the highest honor conferred upon graduates of the College of Law. He is a member of the Nashville, Tennessee and American Bar Associations. He is also a member of the American Bar Association Workers' Compensation and Employers' Liability Law Committee.
