About Brandon
Brandon Shaffer has a diverse real estate and corporate law practice. He handles residential and commercial real estate transactions, including purchase and sale, leasing, development, financing, and other real estate issues. He also represents businesses and individuals with entity formation, business transactions, contracts and other transactional matters.
A Colorado native, Brandon attended Stanford University on an ROTC scholarship. Upon graduating, he was commissioned into the United States Navy and served aboard the USS HEWITT (DD 966) stationed out of Yokosuka, Japan. Brandon returned to Colorado and graduated from the University of Colorado School of Law in 2001. Brandon was elected to the Colorado State Senate in 2004 and represents Senate District 17, which includes Longmont, Erie, Lafayette and Louisville.
Brandon is a member of the Denver and Boulder County Bar Associations. He is currently the Vice Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee and also sits on the Senate Finance and Health and Human Services Committees. He serves on the Colorado Early Childhood Readiness Commission, Tobacco Cessation Commission, Read-to-Achieve Board, and Information Management Commission. Brandon is also involved with the Anti-Defamation League and the Colorado Youth Tennis Foundation.
