Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
After a five month complex federal trial involving 5 defendants and over 100 government witnesses, I secured a mistrial for my client charged with federal criminal racketeering RICO conspiracy and other criminal charges. Through vigorous cross-examination of the government's witnesses and presentation of the defense case, I discredited the government's case and evidence, preventing the government from establishing the required burden of proof and leading to a divided jury. As a result, I forced a mistrial and my client was not convicted.
How did you build a successful practice?
I built a successful practice by being efficient, effective and responsive to my client's needs. I am accessible 24/7 and treat each case as if it is my own. Many of my cases are returning clients satisfied from their previous experience or people they have referred.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Someone who gives an honest assessment of their case. Someone who is a hard worker. Someone who has been there before and knows what he is doing.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
I am a certified by the NJ Supreme Court as a criminal trial attorney, a designation that less than 3% of lawyers can obtain. I have actually tried several cases, as opposed to many attorneys who always settle and never conduct trials.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
For criminal cases it is correcting an injustice and helping someone move on with their life.
