I am a lifelong resident of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and a graduate of Parkland High School. I graduated from Davidson College in 2001 with a bachelor of arts in political science. I received my law degree from the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University in 2008. I was also a visiting student at the Wake Forest School of Law. I am a member of the North Carolina State Bar, the 21st Judicial District Bar, the North Carolina Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. I am licensed to practice in federal court in the Middle District of North Carolina.
Before going to law school, I worked in the United States Senate on the staff of Senator Mike DeWine as well as at a large North Carolina law firm. In my spare time I am an avid reader and film buff.
