Mr. Laird's local knowledge and assertive representation enable him to obtain top results for clients in complex legal disputes. From 2010 to 2011, Mr. Laird obtained judgments for clients totaling more than $10 million. He has also litigated numerous cases for corporate clients and individuals with liability in excess of $1 million at issue.
Mr. Laird also provides sophisticated, effective, aggressive representation for companies and individuals in business and financial litigation, real estate and development disputes, construction defects and other commercial litigation. As an experienced courtroom lawyer, he has also successfully represented victims in cases involving severe personal injuries, professional malpractice, consumer fraud, and bad investments.
Mr. Laird received his bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Arizona, and graduated from the University of Arizona College of Law with honors. In law school, Mr. Laird was a member of the National Moot Court Team. He was winner of the Best Brief, Best Overall Advocate, and Outstanding Oral Advocate in Final Round of the Fegtly Moot Court Competition. He won the Jenckes Closing Argument Competition twice. He was awarded the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Award, and the Chandler Award for Advancement of First Amendment Values.
