About Brian

Brian C. Nelson is a two-time graduate of the University of Southern California. Mr. Nelson was a Presidential Scholar undergraduate, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the Annenberg School of Communications in 1994. Mr. Nelson returned to the School of Law in 1998, where he participated in the Hale Moot Court Honors Program. He received his Juris Doctor from the School of Law in 2001.

Mr. Nelson's experience includes providing a full range of transactional and corporate/business consulting and advisory services for clients in corporate, business, healthcare, intellectual property, banking/finance, international trade, real estate, entertainment, and media matters.

Before returning to law school, Mr. Nelson spent several years as a producer and assignment editor in local television news. Mr. Nelson worked at ABC, NBC, and CBS-affiliated television stations in Arizona, Florida and Tennessee. As part of the news operations of these stations, he provided content and stories for local, national and international broadcasts, including the Atlanta Olympic and abortion clinic bombings, the University of Florida's football national championship, and award-winning coverage of major natural disasters. He has a broad background in business issues affecting media, entertainment, and intellectual property.

Mr. Nelson also has an extensive background in computer graphics, programming, creating content for the web, and providing database services for e-commerce.

Mr. Nelson is a member of the California State Bar Association, No. 220716, and is admitted to practice in all the Courts of California, the District Court for the Central District of California, the District Court for the District of Colorado, and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeal.
