Mr. Wood’s Background
Mr. Wood grew up in the Foothills of the Adirondack Mountains, where his competitive drive and hard-nosed work ethic allowed him to be a New York State ranked sprinter and soccer player. He attended St. Michael’s College in Burlington, Vermont for his undergraduate studies, graduating in three years with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. This education helps Mr. Wood better understand the pain, suffering, and emotional turmoil that injured clients may feel as a result of their injuries. Mr. Wood always treats his clients with compassion and understands that not every harm and loss suffered is adequately represented in medical records. Mr. Wood works to convey to the insurance company, in the most powerful terms, the grief, distress, and humility felt when you cannot provide for yourself, for your children, or for your family because of an accident.

Legal Work
While attending law school at the Western New England University School of Law, his summer-intern clerkship with a Fulton County Supreme and Surrogate’s Court Justice, provided him a broad foundational knowledge of the inner-workings of the legal system. Mr. Wood gained the valuable experience of researching complex motion practice and drafting Decisions and Orders on matters ranging anywhere from the serious injury threshold to murder in the first degree and fraud in the inducement of a Last Will and Testament.

After law school, Mr. Wood represented the indigent population of Fulton and Montgomery counties in various Civil, Criminal, and Family Court matters. He also worked as an Associate Attorney for a small general practice law firm wherein he gained the invaluable experience of handling every minute aspect of a case from initial client contact through appeal. It was in these situations that Mr. Wood developed his ability to listen, understand, research and apply each and every fact and circumstance of each case to use it to his client’s benefit.
