Gainesville Florida Attorney Brian Toundas is a two-time University of Florida graduate, earning his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (B.S.B.A.) cum laude in May 1996 and his Juris Doctor (JD) from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in May 2000. During the summer of 1998, he studied International White Collar Crime, Money Laundering, and the French Civil Code at the Université de Montpellier in France, one of the oldest universities in Europe. He has been a member in good standing of the Florida Bar since his admission in 2000, and he is also licensed to practice in Federal Court - the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida.

Prior to establishing The Law Office of Brian C. Toundas, P.A. in 2003, Gainesville Florida Criminal Defense Attorney Brian Toundas served for more than three and a half years as an Assistant Public Defender in the Eighth Judicial Circuit of Florida. During his tenure there representing those without the means to defend themselves, he also trained new attorneys, and supervised Florida Supreme Court Certified Legal Interns. But it was his aggressive defense of his client's rights that earned him a solid reputation for never backing down from a courtroom battle. In one week alone, Criminal Defense Lawyer Brian Toundas set 17 trials to protect the rights of his clients, much to the dismay of the court and prosecutors. To this day, he continues to aggressively fight for the rights and freedom of his clients accused of DUI, misdemeanors, drug charges, probation violations, and felony offenses. He has actual courtroom experience representing clients in more than one thousand DUI, misdemeanor, felony, and probation violation cases.

Having a business background coupled with running a successful law practice has made him adept at analyzing financial documentation, retirement accounts, and financial affidavits; all of which provide the factual basis for the equitable distribution of marital assets and liabilities. U.S. Army War Veteran & National Defense Medal Recipient

Gainesville Florida Attorney Brian Toundas is tremendously proud of his service to our country while on active duty in the United States Army for three years as a Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Specialist. He earned his Airborne Wings at Ft. Benning, GA before being deployed to Saudi Arabia for Operation Desert Shield on August 8, 1990. He was on the front lines in Iraq during Operation Desert Storm and his unit was responsible for disengaging the most highly trained of all the Iraqi troops, the Iraqi Republican Guard. He is a recipient of the Kuwait Liberation Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal. Today, Attorney Brian Toundas celebrates the memory of his service as a proud lifetime member of both the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
