About Bruce

Mr. Bittner began practicing law with the firm in 1989 and became a partner in 1991. He is also a Certified Public accountant and concentrates his practice in tax planning, tax controversy, probate, estate planning and closely held business matters including bankruptcy. Mr. Bittner has served as counsel to the Noblesville Board of Zoning Appeals and the Noblesville Plan Commission, and currently serves private clients in zoning matters.

Bruce was born in Champaign, Illinois, grew up in East Chicago, Indiana, and attended high school at Bishop Noll Institute in Hammond, where he graduated in 1972.

He received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University in 1976 with a major in accounting. Prior to entering law school in 1978 Bruce worked as a CPA with the Indianapolis office of what was then Ernst & Ernst, a "Big 8" CPA firm. After graduating from the Arizona State University College of Law in 1980, Bruce practiced with CPA and law firms in Chicago and Houston. He participated in the LLM tax programs at both DePaul University and the University of Houston. Midwestern family ties and an entrepreneurial spirit caused Bruce and his wife Sandi to locate to Noblesville in 1987 where Bruce's business and community involvement quickly led to his joining this law firm.

Bruce is a member of the Hamilton County and Indiana Bar Associations and is a Fellow in the Indiana Bar Foundation. Due to Bruce's various professional relocations, he is also a member of the State Bar Associations in Illinois, Arizona and Texas.

Bruce has been active in local civil and charitable organizations. He is a past president of the Noblesville Sunrisers Kiwanis Club. He is a 1992 graduate of the Hamilton County Leadership Academy. He has served on the Noblesville Redevelopment Commission, the Riverview Hospital Memorial Foundation Advisory Committee for Planned Giving, the Conner Prairie Planned Giving Committee and Noblesville Advisory Board to Society National Bank, Indiana. Bruce is also a member of the Noblesville Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

Bruce's outside interests include distance running, golf, swimming and cycling. Bruce is a frequent participant in local road races. He has run in the Boston Marathon as well as several 500 Festival Mini Marathons and has served as a co-director for the Noblesville Sunriser Kiwanis Annual Spring Run. Bruce is also an instrument rated private pilot and enjoys flying as time permits.
