Mr. Lubarsky is an active member of the California Bar and has a law degree as well as a Master's degree in law. He has been in practice for over fifteen years. He has studied law in the US, Argentina, Russia, and Thailand. He currently teaches law at Cal State University East Bay. In addition, he publishes a monthly column on the topic of Immigration law and is in the process of authoring a text book for Aspen Law and Business Publishers. Mr. Lubarsky sits on the Executive Committees of the Aids Legal Referral Panel, the San Francisco Bar Association Judicial Committee, and the State Bar of California Solo and Small Firms Section. Mr. Lubarsky lives in Burlingame with his wife and four children.

Mr. Adams is a member of the State Bar of California, American Board of Trial Advocates, Sacramento County Bar Association, El Dorado County Bar Association, Northern California Association of Defense Counsel, and the Northern California Fraud Investigators Association. He is admitted to practice in all California courts, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. He regularly serves as a Pro Tem Judge in Sacramento, Placer and El Dorado Counties, and as an arbitrator/mediator in Sacramento and El Dorado Counties. In previous years, he has been an instructor in Tort Law for the Paralegal Program at the University of California, Davis (extension) and has served on the Board of Directors for both the Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce and the C.S.U.S. Stinger Foundation.

Ryan Hafey is a distinguished attorney known for his deep commitment to social justice and extensive experience in immigration law. His legal career began at The Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office, where he provided critical support within the Department of Airports. He later transitioned to Immigration Law, handling complex asylum and deportation cases at a major San Francisco law firm. In 2021, Ryan joined a law firm in San Leandro, continuing his focus on immigrant advocacy. Rencher Law Group, P.C. (“RLG”) was founded by David Leonardo Rencher (“D.L.”). Mr. Rencher Esq. is from Grand Rapids, Michigan where he joined the United States Marine Corps right after High School to serve this great nation. While a Marine, Mr. Rencher Esq. served as an Aircraft Firefighter/Emergency Medical Technician and cross-trained with multiple structural fire departments serving Camp Pendleton. He was the recipient of the National Service Defense Medal and a accommodation for Outstanding Military Service during Operation Desert Storm. Mr. Rencher Esq. attended junior college while still an active-duty Marine and transferred to the University of California Los Angeles (“UCLA”). With no family financial support, he worked his way through undergraduate as a Trauma Scribe and Telemetry Technician at a local hospital. Mr. Rencher Esq. briefly considered medical school but due to a never dying interest in social injustice he attended law school where he thrived. Interestingly, Mr. Rencher Esq. took a brief detour through film/arts studies starring in multiple plays and productions including but limited The Lion Witch and the Wardrobe and Macbeth. Although he enjoyed the arts, that ever-present desire to fight for those without a voice remained. Thus, Mr. Rencher Esq. shifted his focus to law, foregoing a “casting call” for the “Power Rangers” to sit for the Law School Admissions Test. Mr. Rencher Esq. graduated from UCLA with honors and attended Hastings College of the Law. He was a member of the Trial Team and received the Moot Court Award for “Best Oral Advocate.” Mr. Rencher Esq. was also a Legal Education Opportunity Program (“LEOP”) Teaching Assistant and mentored first-year law students in their transition. He then interned at the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office where he specialized in opposing suppression motions in Driving Under the Influence (DUI) cases. Mr. Rencher Esq. started his practice of law defending health care professionals expanding into a wide range defense of licensed professionals. Mr. Novak is the founding partner of our firm. He was born on the great Canadian prairies in the city of Winnipeg, Manitoba. After a distinguished educational career at the University of Manitoba, he attended the University of North Dakota School of Law. He was named on the academic dean’s list for his entire six semesters of law school and was awarded the degree of Juris Doctor With Distinction. Following graduation from law school, he hung up his hockey skates and moved to the gentler climate of California. Since 1998 Mr. Novak has based his practice of law in the Southern California area. However, he has actively litigated cases throughout the State of California, and the United States. Mr. Novak has established himself as a well-respected trial attorney in the region. In particular, he is renowned for his keen legal mind and aggressive litigation approach. His commitment to fighting for clients’ rights has led to the recovery of in excess of $130,000,000.00 in verdicts or settlements for clients within the past twenty-two years of his practice. Before concentrating his practice on protecting the rights of individuals, Mr. Novak worked for several years as a defense attorney handling primarily large-loss cases on behalf of numerous entertainment production companies, large corporations, and insurance companies. During this time period, he successfully protected clients from exposure to multi-million dollar claims for damages.

Keith Custis is a compassionate and dedicated litigator who founded Custis Law, P.C. to help individuals facing difficult work issues.
