Jeffrey Costell is a practicing attorney in the state of California. He graduated from Georgetown University with his J.D. in 1980. He currently works for Costell & Cornelius, Law Corporation specializing in real estate law.

Pete grew up in Oklahoma and obtained his BSE in Civil Engineering at Princeton University. He received his J.D in 1989 from Georgetown Law Center and returned to the Bay Area, where he'd previously worked at Hewlett Packard, to practice law. Pete has practiced law in California's state and federal courts since 1989. Prior to opening Shearer Law Offices in 1998 to concentrate on employment, real estate, and intellectual property law, he was an associate with reputable firms including Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati and Cooley, Godward (now Cooley LLP) in Palo Alto. He and former colleague Andrew Pierce merged firms to form Pierce & Shearer LLP in 2001. Pete also had worked with the Special Masters of Griffiths and Castle on complex real estate matters. Since 1998, Pete has guest lectured on legal issues at both U.C. Berkeley and Cañada College. Pete resides in San Mateo and is a long time soccer coach, theater performer, and avid baseball fan.

Nikki B. Allen brings a wealth of experience to her legal practice. She is licensed in both California and Colorado and has practiced law for over twenty years. Ms. Allen began her career in 2000 as an attorney in Denver, Colorado with Kutak Rock, LLP, a national law firm with more than 450 attorneys in 16 offices. She specialized in finance law, where she represented numerous municipal clients and real estate developers. She was involved in the closing of numerous multi-million dollar transactions. When Ms. Allen moved to Palm Desert, California in 2005, she broadened her practice to include all types of business law, including the purchases and sales of real estate and businesses, entity formation and contract drafting. Specifically, she focuses on estate planning, which include wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advanced health care directives and special needs trusts. Ms. Allen also represents clients in probate and trust litigation, as well as the administration of trusts and probate of estates. Ms. Allen attended the University of Massachusetts where she played Division I soccer with a fabulous team, including US Women’s National Team Player Brianna Scurry. She had the neat opportunity of playing in the Final Four against Mia Hamm. Ms. Allen graduated cum laude from the University of Denver College of Law in 2000 and is a member of the California and Colorado Bar Associations. She was on the University of Denver Law Review and had an article published while still in law school. Palm Springs Life Magazine named her as a “Top Lawyer” for the past ten years in a row, consecutively. In addition to practicing law, she enjoys living in Palm Desert with her husband, her eleven year old son, Jack, and coaching his soccer team.

Anna Liu is a partner at Steven Adair MacDonald & Partners, P.C. and focuses her practice on real estate and landlord-tenant litigation. She has significant experience representing clients in a variety of matters including partitions, buyer-seller disputes, and commercial and residential landlord-tenant actions. Anna has tried cases, handled appeals, mediated and arbitrated disputes, and negotiated numerous settlements on behalf of her clients. Anna is active in the legal community and serves on the on the Executive Committee of the California Lawyers Association Real Property Law Section and is the former Co-Chair of the Bar Association of San Francisco Barristers Solo and Small Firm Executive Committee. Olivia Dopler is a partner at Steven Adair MacDonald & Partners, P.C. Her practice focuses on real estate litigation, primarily residential and commercial landlord-tenant disputes in the San Francisco Bay Area. Olivia has tried cases in civil court, represented clients in rent board arbitrations, mediated disputes, and negotiated numerous settlements on behalf of her clients. Olivia earned her B.A. in political science from the University of California, Davis, where she graduated with highest honors and received the Clyde Jacobs and Larry Peterman Distinguished Scholar Award. She received her J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, California, and she served as an associate editor on the Golden Gate University Law Review. Olivia is a member of the State Bar of California. She has also been named to the Northern California “Rising Stars” list published in the Super Lawyers Magazines from 2018-2022. Each year, no more than 2.5% of attorneys in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor.

Steven Adair MacDonald & Partners, P.C. Jethro S. Busch is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the federal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal, several United States District Courts, and all the courts of the State of California. Jethro received his undergraduate degree from the University of California (Berkeley), holds a law degree from Tulane University, and has been practicing law since 1981. His practice consists primarily of real estate litigation, including wrongful eviction and habitability disputes, disputes connected with buying or selling real property, and disputes between co-owners or condo owners. Jethro is also a published author in the real estate field, served for five (5) years on the Executive Committee of the Real Property Law Section of the State Bar of California (which subsequently was spun off into the California Lawyers Association), and served for several years as the co-chair of the State Bar Landlord-Tenant Subsection. Nathan Verbiscar-Brown is an attorney at Steven Adair MacDonald & Partners, P.C. He is an experienced litigator, having represented clients in federal and state courts throughout California, as well as in New York, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Idaho. His practice areas include complex commercial litigation, construction litigation, franchise law, trademark enforcement, employment law, trespass, catastrophic personal injury, class action, and more. Over the first ten years of his practice, he obtained settlements and judgments in excess of $14,000,000. Nathan now applies his zeal for justice to real estate litigation, with an emphasis on landlord-tenant disputes. Tiffany W. Yee is a Partner at Steven Adair MacDonald & Partners, P.C. Her practice focuses on real estate litigation primarily in residential landlord-tenant disputes in the San Francisco Bay Area, specifically tenant buyout agreements, Owner Move-In and Ellis Act evictions. Tiffany believes in resolving cases through buyout or settlement and has successfully handled numerous negotiations as a cost-effective solution for her clients. She regularly handles matters arising before the San Francisco Rent Board and San Francisco Human Rights Commission. Tiffany also speaks conversational Cantonese and is able to communicate with and put Chinese-speaking clients at ease. Tiffany earned her B.A. from San Francisco State University and her J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, California. She is a member of the State Bar of California and is also admitted to practice before the Northern Federal District Court of California.
