Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
I had the occasion of representing a couple of people who were facing mandatory minimum sentences which if convicted would have resulted in the loss of their jobs and in one case a home. I was able to score acquittals in those cases.
How did you build a successful practice?
You build a successful practice by properly communicating with your clients, giving them the attention you would expect from a lawyer if you had hired one.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
When choosing a lawyer you want someone who is not handling a couple of hundred client files, that is insane and there is absolutely no way they can give the client the attention they deserve or properly represent them. The Law Society recommends that you have no more than 70 active files however, many choose to carry much more.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
In a free phone consultation I can get a basic understanding of the problem you are facing and possible ways to deal with it, I will then offer a free consultation face to face to better advise you on how I can assist.
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?
I require the date of your first, or subsequent appearances in court, your contact information and a description of your problem.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
I have 33 years of law enforcement experience in the largest city in Canada. The last eight years I was a supervisor in Internal Affairs investigating police corruption. I know the way the police think, cut corners and often violate your rights.
